The Steven Slate Audio VSX Modeling Headphones Essentials Edition designed for the demanding producer or mixing engineer who works from home, the Steven Slate Audio VSX Essential Edition is a system that comprises a pair of headphones and complementary software. The result of this system is the ability to monitor in a variety of acoustically treated environments with an immersive 3D experience that removes mix issues caused by poor room acoustics and limited speaker selection. With VSX, you can mix confidently and achieve professional results for anywhere in the world.

Perfect Mixes Just Got Easier:

The VSX from Steven Slate Audio enables you to create and mix your music in authentic recreations of world-class mixing studios, mastering rooms, car stereos, nightclub sound systems, and more, from anywhere in the world. It accomplishes this by utilizing a hybrid system combining a state-of-the-art beryllium driver headphone (powered by Scaeva Technologies), and a revolutionary binaural perception modeling plugin that realistically recreates the way that humans hear speakers.

Pro Mix Environments Wherever You Are:

One of the biggest challenges in the modern home studio is monitoring. Poor monitoring environments and substandard room acoustics make it exceedingly hard to trust what you’re hearing. Bad monitoring environments can lead to frustrated mixers and producers releasing sub-standard product. Pro studios can overcome these challenges by hiring acousticians, but those who work at home don’t have the same control over their space or budget to hire professionals to sort out their rooms. The VSX offers producers and mixers the ability to produce and mix in recreations of precisely tuned listening environments, including famous pro mixing and mastering studios.

Intuitive, Helpful Software Included:

Place the VSX plug-in at the end of your chain, and you’ll be able to switch between different environments at the click of a button. In many environments, you can switch among near-, mid-, and far-field speakers. You can also adjust the amount of room reflections present in the resultant sound. Furthermore, you can EQ most of the environments to tailor the sound to your liking, if you so choose.

The software, which is quite easy to use, is included with the headphones. It is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms and will operate in VST, AAX Native, and AU formats. Please note, you ought to bypass this plug-in before your final export, or else your final mix will have the room processing imbedded in the sound.

HD Headphones Featuring APS Technology:

VSX headphones use beryllium hybrid drivers and custom analog tuning to deliver a flat, linear, and detailed response. You’ll also experience exceedingly low frequencies thanks to VSX’s Acoustically Ported Subsonics (APS), which uses patented technology to harness air pressure and reproduce low-end frequencies with detail. Even without the VSX plug-in, you’ll notice details of your mix you wouldn’t normally hear on other systems. With the VSX plug-in, the headphones become a blank canvas upon which you can layer the sound of famous studios.

Quality Construction:

The headphones themselves are constructed from lightweight beryllium hybrid dynamic drivers to deliver a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range with exceedingly high detail, and an ultra-flat response. Furthermore, the cans use a ported APS construction to ensure an accurate, fast, and present low-end. Coupled with a carefully designed detachable cable, the headphones offer a blank canvas of sorts, through which you can superimpose the sound of famed rooms.
